About Me

About Me

My name is Julian Elorduy. I’m a lifelong educator and learner. I collect resources that support religious studies education, technology integration, and offer a critical commentary on education’s relationship to technology.

After graduating UC Davis with degrees in Religious Studies and International Relations, I spent several years working in elementary education. Over time, I developed an understanding of the value of student-centered learning and of the importance of students taking ownership of their own education.

“We as educators need to reconsider our roles in students’ lives, to think of ourselves as connectors first and content experts second.”

– Will Richardson

From janitor to principal, I have held a variety of positions in Catholic Education. Based on this experience, I have learned to value a radical sense of empathy for all members in a school community. In my work, I hope to cultivate a climate of care and a sense of joyful seriousness directed at the development of the young people entrusted to my care.
